IndiaSkills Competition is the biggest skill competition in India held every two years exhibiting extraordinary talent from across the country with the support of State Governments and Industry. This year, with 20 plus States participating, IndiaSkills could reach out to the grassroot level and celebrate the power of skills.
Post the skill competitions held at district, state and regional level, IndiaSkills National Competition will be organized next year in 2020. The competitions will be conducted in partnership SSCs, Industry Partners and Academic Organizations.
Alongside IndiaSkills Competitions, Abilympics, Olympics of Abilities will also be organized featuring featuring persons with disability. The vocational skills competition is specifically designed for specially-abled individuals to express their unique talents.
IndiaSkills National Competition was organized in October 2018 in New Delhi. The competitors were from 27 States and Union Territories who showcased their skills in 46 trades, 8 traditional skills and 4 demo skills. Along side IndiaSkills Competition, Abilympics was also hosted featuring person with disability.
Post the initial screening at District level, the competitions will be hosted at state, regional and national level in numerous trade with the support of Industry partners. The winners of national level competitions will undergo training and get an opportunity to represent India at the WorldSkills Competitions.
Witness Skill Champions from 27 States and Union Territories compete in 46 skills, 4 demo skill and 10 traditional at the Nationals. Abilympics, thecompetition featuring specially-abled candidates will also exhibit their unique talents.
An opportunity for the youth to discover their interest and aptitude towards exceling at a skill. While the Try a Skill would facilitate candidates to experiment the nuances of a skill, the Counselling Session would be led by skill experts and career counsellors.
An overview of the various trades in India for the youth to understand the power of skills in the organized and unorganized sector as well as in the entrepreneurial segment.
Leaders from industry and academia share their enriched experiences as theytake the stage to discuss the opportunities and challenges across the skill ecosystem.
